Why would Russians choose to fight against Russia?

In this episode from NAFO’s 57th convoy, we meet fighters from the Russian Volunteer Corps who left Russia and chose to fight on Ukraine’s side against Putin’s regime. One of them, Lucky, explains why he made that decision, what motivates Russians who join the unit, and why he believes Ukraine’s fight is also a fight against the system he left behind.

We also meet Ukrainian medics, drone operators and soldiers from units defending some of the most important sectors of the front. They talk about battlefield medicine, drone warfare, the defense of Lyman, and why continued international support still matters.

Convoy 57 delivered 33 vehicles to Ukrainian units. Every truck, van and support vehicle helps keep soldiers supplied, mobile and connected to the front.
