Analysts and commentators are reluctant to say that the Russian invasion of Ukraine is blocked and that the war has reached a stalemate. Most likely the truth is that the Ukrainians are winning.

Eliot A. Cohen, author of The Atlantic , writes about this in his article.

He recalled that at the beginning of the war, experts assumed an early and decisive victory for the Russians. Then they announced that the Russian soldiers would stop, draw conclusions from their mistakes and regroup. Now they are leaning toward the view that things can still change, that the numbers are still in favor of Russia. However, Cohen is confident that these analysts’ forecasts will fail.

According to him, military experts ignore the progress made by the Ukrainian army since 2014, in particular, thanks to the support of the United States, Britain and Canada. The author notes that now the Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrate not only motivation and ability, but also tactical skills.

As the Atlantic article says, the war in Ukraine has drawn attention to the human dimension. The Russian sergeant corps is weak and corrupt, which leads to defeat.

The author draws attention to the military assistance to Ukraine – thousands of units of modern weapons are received every day.

“There is no publicly available evidence that the Russians could regroup and resupply on a large scale; there is a lot of evidence to the contrary. If the Ukrainians continue to win, we may see more visible collapse of Russian units and possibly massive surrenders and desertions. Unfortunately, the Russian military also will feverishly double down on what they’re good at, bombing cities and killing civilians,” Cohen concluded.

Recall that on March 22, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the invaders have stocks of ammunition and food for  no more than three days . The situation is similar with fuel.

  1. The wonderful bravery and tactical skills of the defenders will come to nothing unless putler’s genocide is stopped by force.

    • We need more help. Biden please get off your ass and get the S300s over to Ukraine and lock down Russia from the world. People are dying you fuckin asswipe!!!!

  2. Sweden will send 5000 anti-tank missiles extra to Ukraine and Germany will sent 1700 Strela surface to air missiles.

    Somebody must sent something.

  3. I’ve noticed the same thing in the news. Although much is being said about Ukraine’s various successes, by and large its successes over all is being downplayed. The West even thinks that it knows the Ruskie casualties better.
