Russia wants to delay, escalate, exhaust Ukraine, and manipulate the language of peace while continuing the war. But a frozen occupation is not peace. A pause for Russian rearmament is not peace. A ceasefire used to terrorize and regroup is not peace.
The world owes Vladimir Putin no victory. Ukraine owes Putin no territory. Europe owes him no obedience. History owes him no grand ending.
