UNABashed CYNICISM ACROSS THE OCEAN

Listen to what he’s spouting. He’s now openly expressing regret that the war didn’t end right when it started—with a Russian victory.

“We helped them with Ukraine. You know, they’ve made a complete mess of Ukraine—just utter chaos. And we helped them with Ukraine. Ukraine has nothing to do with us—well, you understand: an ocean separates us. This concerns them specifically. For them, figuratively speaking, it’s their own backyard. We helped them. Biden allocated $350 billion to them (though that’s a complete lie—the U.S. provided $100 billion in financial aid and weapons)—it was just madness. And that’s one of the reasons why the war has dragged on.”

When aid to a victim is called a “mistake,”
listening to it is like watching someone wipe their feet on the flag of democracy while trying to look like the “voice of reason.” What we have here is not just political rhetoric, but distilled, repulsive cynicism mixed with a lack of empathy and strategic vision.

   Did he really say that?
   The most despicable claim in this monologue is the insinuation that aid to Ukraine is “madness” because it prevents the war from ending. Let’s call a spade a spade: behind these words lies regret that Ukraine did not fall in three days.
   For the author of these words, the swift death of an entire nation is “efficiency,” while the people’s resistance against the aggressor is “dragging things out.” This is the logic of a marauder: why help the victim when you can let the rapist finish the job faster, to make it easier for him?

Ukraine, Finland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom have formed a defense procurement coalition.

The Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the procurement agencies of Finland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom have established a defense procurement coalition called the Coalition for Resilient Procurement and Unified Support (CORPUS), reports “European Truth” citing the Ukrainian military department.

The memorandum was signed in Kyiv.

The United Kingdom will establish an alliance of “northern fleets” to strengthen defenses in northwestern Europe and the Arctic. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the United Kingdom’s naval forces, First Sea Lord General Gwyn Jenkins, speaking at the Royal United Services Institute for Defense Studies, according to The Times.

The new alliance is planned to be based on the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), which includes military personnel from the UK, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway. The partners will share technical equipment, ammunition, personnel, digital networks, logistics, and supplies. Command will be based in London.

The partnership among Northern European countries “must now deepen and develop” if they wish to “create the collective combat power necessary to ensure deterrence along their open maritime border with Russia,” Jenkins noted. According to him, a “turning point” has arrived, and “there is no time to waste.” The “Northern Fleets” alliance is scheduled to achieve combat readiness by 2029.
