Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has declared a so-called “truce” for May 9 to protect Moscow from possible drone strikes. The Kremlin leader doesn’t want an airstrike to spoil his holiday, political analyst Vladimir Fesenko said in a commentary on the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel .
The political scientist recalled that Putin invited many foreign guests to the parade in Moscow.
“Well, for him (Putin – Glavred) this is really the main holiday of the year. Especially on the anniversary… And here, imagine, an anniversary, a holiday, on the rostrum of the Mausoleum, and here there is an air alert, drones are flying somewhere over Balashikha, I’m talking about Balashikha, or somewhere else. Well, it will be somehow inconvenient,” Fesenko said.
The political scientist also agrees with the words of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga that “we should not play this game with Russia, that it has already won the war, we should agree on peaceful terms, etc.”
“We need to demonstrate that no, Russia is not leading the game, but that the game may not go according to the planned scenario. Therefore, I think that a counter-game is really needed, such asymmetric and sometimes mirror-like steps are needed to break the Russian game,” the political scientist believes.
Fesenko recalled that Ukraine violated Russia’s plans when it agreed to a 30-day ceasefire initiated by the United States.
“Now, I think, something like this is needed. If Putin is ready to announce a temporary ceasefire from time to time, let’s do it. Let’s do a check, let him also implement the ceasefire. Then we will decide whether we will agree to May 9 or not,” the political scientist emphasized.

A few Neptunes to accompany the drones might be a good idea. If Zelensky does say there will be no ceasefire, I can see a lot of people suddenly having different plans on May 9, especially Fat boy.
