Why did the CIA director fly to Moscow?

I have read several different theories. The most likely one is that the purpose of the visit was to deliver a simple message: We know what you are planning to do. Don’t do it.

But I am convinced that Putin has rejected peace. He is preparing for another mobilization, will intensify strikes on Ukraine, and has no intention of agreeing to a ceasefire this year.

Two weeks ago, I wrote that russia would launch a new wave of mobilization this fall — without actually calling it mobilization — aimed at recruiting up to 800,000 people.

Men will be detained under various pretexts on the streets, at work, and in educational institutions, and then pressured or forced to sign military contracts. There will be no meaningful medical examination — russian law already allows significant shortcuts — and little or no proper training. In practice, many of these new recruits will simply become cannon fodder.

This new wave of mobilization will look very different from the one in 2022. There will be no single major decree and no televised address announcing it.

Instead, it will happen through several parallel mechanisms: coercive contract recruitment, summonses to military enlistment offices, reservists, electronic summonses, pressure through employers, and recruitment efforts involving the police, the Federal Penitentiary Service, and local administrations.

Putin is not preparing russia for peace.

He is preparing russia for more war.

Putin, Trump and his allies are planning yet another attack on Ukraine, NATO and EU. Now the need to coordinate so Trump can bypass The Midterm election, I guess.

All these facts are known to the Russians, the Ukrainians, and the Americans, and to communicate this simple message (“We know you’re doing this. Don’t do this”), there was no need for a visit to speak to ears that don’t want to hear. It follows that the purpose of the visit was different and until the (un)official confirmation that will come just like after the Alaska meeting, we can only assume…

If you want to save your world, help Ukrainians save theirs.

Former Ukrainian president Yushchenko: If Russian war ends only with liberating our sovereign territory, that’s half the job, and it’s unfair to leave the harder half to our children. Russia would just regroup and come back more aggressive than today.

Yushchenko: More than 40% of Russia’s budget now goes to the war. Its National Welfare Fund, built up over about 12 years, is nearly drained.

In roughly five Russian regions, energy prices have almost doubled in the last month and a half.

Yushchenko: Ukraine will demand a tribunal for this war’s perpetrators and compensation for damage going back to 2014.

Zelenskyy laid out a specific 10-point plan about a year ago, and that’s our actual concept for ending the war.

Yushchenko: We have very little room for compromise. Golda Meir, who was born in Kyiv before she became Israel’s prime minister, put it simply: they want to kill us, we want to live. What compromise can there be in that?

Yushchenko: Putin is backed by 140 million little Putins, meaning ordinary Russians, mostly without questioning it, though some voices are now starting to say no to the war.

Yushchenko: The parallels between Azerbaijan’s war and Ukraine’s start and end with one word, Moscow. Karabakh had its own diplomatic body that dragged the war out for years. It was also called the Minsk group.

Yushchenko: Look at Russia’s Victory Day parades over the last ten years.

Their T-34 tanks are painted with ‘To Warsaw,’ ‘To Berlin,’ ‘To Vienna,’ ‘To Bucharest,’ ‘To Budapest.’ Every day they want to be at war with somebody.

Yushchenko: I’m glad Europe has deeply rethought its policy over the last two to three years.

The Schroder-and-Merkel-era approach that let Putinism entrench itself, and effectively fed it, is no longer popular in Europe and has no future.

Yushchenko: Look at the map of Russia from Kolyma to the Solovki islands. That land is littered with Ukrainian bones. It’s fair to call Russia a prison of nations, holding 160 indigenous peoples inside it.

Yushchenko: There’s no free press or political competition in Russia.

The Yabloko party was pulled from the ballot just two days before this interview, because the only condition to run is being United Russia or one of its satellites.

Yushchenko: Russia’s 160 indigenous peoples, Bashkirs, Tatars, dozens of others, each has its own languages, religions, and cultures, with its own heroes.

Why should they be made to honor only Pavlik Morozov, Ulyanov, and Stalin, who was never even there? Or Lenin?

The war is not ended only by liberating the national territory. Russia must collapse. Otherwise they will come back. I agree with the assessment.

Mr. Yushchenko was the first President to seriously restore our national heritage, history, Ukrainian language and culture. His pro-Ukrainian direction helped regain our identity. And he was poisoned for this. Just a common Russian practice.

That was attempted murder and an attempt to skank Yanuklovich into power.
The next time round the putinaZis, with the help of a close friend of Krasnov; Paul Manafort, succeeded. Tymoshenko was defeated, Ukraine became a putinaZi satellite and the Maidan reversed that.
Poro won the next election fair and square, but was not able to build up Ukraine’s military to the level it needed to deter the putinaZis.
He did his best, but no fucker helped and Nato slammed the door shut. Cuntz.
