Why 10 Russian government planes fled from Moscow to the east in the middle of the night: an expert’s explanation

The Russians are expecting a massive attack from Ukraine, because it was not for nothing that 10 of their government planes evacuated their leadership east beyond the Urals on the night of May 25. This opinion was expressed by veteran, reserve major Oleksiy Getman on Radio NV .

“Obviously, this is not a coincidence. We heard messages from our leadership, from our Main Intelligence Directorate, including that we were also preparing a massive attack on Moscow. The number of drones that we planned to use, maybe not just on Moscow, but on the entire Russian Federation, was mentioned – it was up to 1 thousand drones. That’s why they (the Russians, – ed.) got scared and ran away. It’s not just that these 10 planes flew from Moscow to the east. That’s why they are expecting our attack,” Hetman commented.

In his opinion, it will indeed happen soon, “especially after such attacks as the two days in a row on our Ukraine.” Hetman is also confident that the systematic blocking of the skies over the Russian Federation due to our attacks will eventually be reflected directly on the battlefield. But he emphasized that this is possible only with regular strikes.

“We have to do this systematically. Because hitting a semiconductor factory or a battery factory or setting fire to oil refineries – one such action cannot bring us a result that can be seen on the battlefield. And systemic strikes, that is, if we do it systematically, will eventually be reflected in the situation on the battlefield. This can be compared to our combat operations against the Russian Black Sea Fleet,” he said.

Hetman recalled that Ukraine, not having a powerful fleet of such “tonnage” as the Russian one, using exclusively naval drones, forced the enemy fleet to retreat to Novorossiysk, and now, according to estimates by the Institute for the Study of War, the Russian Navy is performing its function by 15 percent, no more.

“The regularity of strikes on the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation may also lead to the fact that they will not be 100%, maybe not 15%, but still with reduced capabilities. And when we can significantly reduce this with regular strikes, then it will be noticeable on the front line. Now our attacks seem to be invisible on the front line. But soon, if our strikes are not stopped, it will be noticeable directly on the front line,” the reserve major assured.
