The subordinates of the eliminated officer are not very upset about the loss, Svitan believes.

In the city of Balashikha, Moscow Region, a car explosion killed the deputy head of the Main Operations Directorate of the Russian General Staff, Yaroslav Moskalyk. According to Roman Svitan , a reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and an instructor pilot , Ukrainian special services eliminated the Russian officer because he was a terrorist.   

“This is, one might say, the routine work of our special services – “liquidation operations”. It is carried out using such methods, among other things. Moreover, such actions occur in Russia almost every day or two… Well, when some general comes across, let’s say, from the headquarters, and with such an epic surname… These are terrorists, there is no point in taking them for interrogations and dragging them through the courts. A terrorist, like a rabid dog, must be destroyed,” said the expert at Fabryka Novin .

He claims that over several decades, Ukrainian special services will eliminate almost all terrorists who were involved in the genocidal attack on Ukraine, and this is “not one hundred thousand.” Moreover, as the reserve colonel emphasizes, this list includes not only citizens of the Russian Federation.

The expert admitted that the general eliminated on April 25 is a “bold” target, although in total over the past three years “more than one thousand” participants in the terrorist war against Ukraine have been destroyed on the territory of the Russian Federation.

As Svitan noted, not all targets of Ukrainian special services are included in the relevant statistics.

At the same time, according to Svitan, Moskalyk’s subordinates, as well as other Russian officers, do not really regret the loss, since his disappearance is a real chance to advance up the career ladder.

“When such a “big guy” is demolished, a whole chain of Russian generals, colonels, and so on will move up one step. That is, for them it is an opportunity to improve their situation, material and status. That is, by and large, all subordinates of such Russian “big guys” dream of someone removing them.

There is too much reserve. That is, everyone is trying to somehow get on some cash flow, and this is specifically money,” Svitan emphasized.

Death of a Russian general

As UNIAN reported, on April 25, Russian media reported that a car explosion occurred in the city of Balashikha, Moscow Region, near which the deputy head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Yaroslav Moskalyk, was passing at that moment.

Local journalists said that the officer was killed . The explosive device was allegedly planted under a Volkswagen Passat car, which was sold a year ago. The device was activated remotely.
