White House ‘takes seriously’ Russia’s threats and won’t allow Ukraine to strike deeply, – Kirby

There is no reason to expect changes in US policy on this issue, the White House says.

The United States has not yet changed its position on deep strikes against Russia . This was reported to journalists by White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby on Friday, Reuters writes .

US President Joe Biden is scheduled to meet with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer today. Kirby advises against expecting the meeting to result in an announcement of a change in US policy on Ukraine’s use of missiles.

“There is no change in our view on giving Ukraine long-range strike capabilities inside Russia. I would not expect any major announcement on that,” Kirby said.

Kirby also said the U.S. took seriously Russian President Vladimir Putin’s warning that he would consider the West directly involved in the conflict if Ukraine fired Western-made long-range missiles at Russia. But Kirby also acknowledged that this is not the first time Russia has made such a statement.

“This is not rhetoric we have not heard from him before. He has obviously proven his capacity for aggression… Yes, we take these comments seriously,” he said.

  1. The Yellow House to the kremlin; don’t worry, we will keep your murderous planes, missiles, drones, and bombers safe.
Thanks to Biden and his crew of cowards, the United States is a has-been superpower. We are pathetic.

  2. So the US is giving russia permission to murder Ukrainians with Iranian missiles? I have never seen such a bunch of spineless bastards in all my life.
