The White House is searching for a new chief of staff and several senior advisers for Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth after a series of missteps. But so far, the search has been unsuccessful.

It is noted that senior positions in the US Department of Defense , including the position of chief of staff to the head of the department, are considered prestigious and attract many qualified candidates. However, as sources told the publication, at least three people have already turned down potential offers to work under Hegseth.
As NBC writes, in April, the head of the Pentagon suddenly dismissed two senior aides, accusing them of leaking classified information.
Shortly after, Hegseth announced the firing of his chief of staff, and another employee later resigned, later stating that “complete chaos” reigned in Hegseth’s office.
After a series of these firings, Vice President J.D. Vance, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and other officials began looking for candidates who could support Hegseth. But so far, the administration has been unable to find people who are willing to work for him or who align with his political beliefs.
The White House rejected some of the candidates that Hegseth wanted to hire. In turn, the Pentagon chief rejected some of the candidates proposed by the White House.
The sources said that some candidates were deemed politically problematic. For example, the White House Human Resources Department rejected some candidates for not being loyal enough to MAGA politics.

sooner or later Trump is going to order US troops to open fire on civilian protesters and then the shit will really hit the fan.
No rational person wants to be tied to that decision cycle.
That and Hegseth is a brain dead loser.
