There is reportedly growing resentment within the Trump administration over the Kremlin’s protracted war.
White House officials have admitted that US President Donald Trump will not be able to secure a ceasefire in Ukraine by Easter (April 20). The Trump administration is increasingly frustrated with the Kremlin’s delaying tactics and is preparing to put pressure on Moscow and Kyiv to force them to reach an agreement, The Telegraph reports .

Trump reportedly set a goal early in his presidency of achieving a full ceasefire by April or May, followed by a lasting peace. But such an agreement is unlikely to be reached in the coming months, his senior officials have said, raising the possibility that the war will drag on.
The failure of peace talks is a blow to Trump’s image
Failure to end the war would be a serious blow to Trump, who has often called himself a “peacemaker and unifier” and has promised to end the conflict within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, media outlets report that for several weeks now, American officials have been privately “expressing dissatisfaction” with the way Ukraine is negotiating. Moreover, they believe that Ukraine is resisting a mineral deal and is delaying the peace talks.
Trump, in turn, could not contain his emotions and suddenly criticized Kremlin dictator Putin, saying he was “mad as hell” with the Kremlin leader for dragging out ceasefire talks.
White House discusses new sanctions against Russia
Journalists note that a series of meetings recently took place at the White House and the US State Department. American officials acknowledged that Putin is actively resisting Washington’s attempts to conclude a long-term peace agreement.
The discussions also considered possible economic and diplomatic punitive measures against Russia.

Another “pie crust” promise, easily made and easily broken.☹️
And not by easter 2026 too…………….
There was never any intention to reach a ceasefire. All Trump wanted was the capitulation of Ukraine, but he met steel instead.
