“What’s good for Serbia is good for Russia”: Vucic thanks Putin for gas supplies

According to the Serbian president, he has not communicated with the Russian ruler for almost two and a half years.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, during a conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, thanked the latter for the fact that Russia provided a sufficient amount of gas for his country. He reported this on his Instagram .

At the same time, according to Vucic, the main topic of the meeting was the anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade.

“A very good conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,” said the Serbian President.

He also said that he had not spoken to Putin for almost two and a half years.

As reported by the Serbian publication b92 , Vucic later said that Putin invited him to take part in the celebration of Victory Day over Nazism next year on May 9:

“We talked like people who have known each other for a long time, like friends, and it was a personal conversation. The proposal that Putin repeated twice: what is good for Serbia is good for Russia, what is good for the Serbs is good for the Russians.”
