At the 29th meeting in the Ramstein format on Monday, July 21, decisions were made to strengthen the defense potential of the Ukrainian army . This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal on his Telegram channel .

The official listed the key decisions of the partners. In particular, according to him, the US initiated a new mechanism together with NATO that will allow European countries to purchase American weapons for Ukraine.

“European partners have already declared their readiness to join the financing. We discussed the specific mechanism of this initiative. Germany will join the initiative to transfer five Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, which should soon arrive in Ukraine,” Shmyhal said.

He also said that Germany will transfer more than 200,000 shells for Gepard systems, as well as finance the purchase of Ukrainian long-range drones.

“Canada will continue to participate in financing the Ukrainian defense industry through the “Danish model” and allocates 20 million Canadian dollars for the maintenance of Ukrainian tanks. The Netherlands will provide 200 million euros for interceptor drones and 125 million euros for the maintenance of F-16 aircraft,” the minister noted.

In addition, according to him, Norway has allocated a total of 1 billion euros for the purchase of drones in 2025, of which 400 million are for purchases from the Ukrainian defense industry. Sweden is also preparing a new package of air defense equipment, artillery, and equipment.

Today’s “Ramstein”, the Minister of Defense noted, was organized by the British Minister of Defense John Healy and the German Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius, and brought together 52 countries and organizations.

Shmyhal said that among the participants in the meeting were NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Commander of the US European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Alexus Hrynkevich, and EU High Representative Kaia Kallas.

The Ukrainian delegation included Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrsky, Chief of the General Staff Major General Andriy Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, First Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Boev, and other representatives of the security and defense sector.

“I sincerely thank every country that supports Ukraine within the Ramstein format. I am especially grateful to the USA – the initiator of the creation of this platform in April 2022, as well as the United Kingdom and Germany – for their leadership in the Contact Group,” Shmyhal added.

Support for Ukraine by partners

As UNIAN previously reported, Germany will help transfer 5 additional Patriot systems to Ukraine. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius shared that during a trip to Washington last week, he agreed with Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth on Berlin’s participation in the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine. He noted that the parties will coordinate actions to achieve this goal in the coming days.

In addition, British Defense Secretary John Healy promised at a meeting of the Defense Contact Group to call on allies for a “50-day dash” on arming Ukraine in order to force Russian leader Vladimir Putin to sit at the negotiating table.

Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken also confirmed that Ukraine will receive F-16 aircraft from Belgium this year and next , but he could not give exact delivery dates. He emphasized that every time Belgium receives F-35s, it can transfer F-16s.

  1. Putler dreaming of splitting Europe looks like a complete failure, they are more united than ever, bar a couple of rogues. Meanwhile mafia land is collapsing and no countries are pumping money into the shithole.

  2. Blah, blah, blah… Either we want to fuck ruSSia and rescue Ukraine or we don’t. I haven’t been in Ukraine for quite some time since Suzanna died. But i know what’s going on. Nobody in Ukraine gives a shit about press releases concerning support. People are sitting in shelters, many don’t know if they are still alive the next day. The bullshit is ENOUGH! Some think they can help a little to claim later they are no traitors. Any nation not flooding Ukraine with planes, tanks, patriots and missiles IS GUILTY! You know why Ukrainians already have enough of their ‘allies’??? Because their self-declared allies are fucking pussies!

    • I want to add that Ukraine’s military leadership is piss poor. The waste of lives is owed to complete incompetence. The ruSSian army is a joke. Yet we are losing towne after towne. Soviet tactics are meat tactics and we don’t want to see them no more. Btw, i hope there are finally envelopes available…

  3. Finally, we need a US military intervention in Ukraine. Get rid of your pink underwear and do something!
