OTTAWA (Reuters) – The initial assessment of Western intelligence agencies is that a Ukrainian airliner which crashed in Iran on Wednesday was not brought down by a missile, said a Canadian security source.
The source, who declined to be identified, said the agencies believed the Boeing 737 plane had suffered a technical malfunction. The Ukraine International Airline jet crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran, killing all 176 people on board.
The disaster occurred shortly after Iran launched a series of missile attacks against two military bases in Iraq that housed U.S. troops.
“The initial assessment of Western intelligence agencies is that the plane was not brought down by a missile. There is no evidence to suggest that,” said the source.
The agencies believe the most likely cause of the crash was a malfunction, the source added, saying there was some evidence one of the plane’s engines had overheated.
Boeing said it had no additional comment. Earlier, the company said it was in contact with the airline and was ready to assist.
In July 2014 a Malaysia Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot out of the sky over eastern Ukraine during a rebellion by Russian-backed separatists, killing all 298 people on board.

The source does not mention which agencies. I have seen no intelligence agencies come out with any statements. I guess this source resides in Tehran-to, or Muscovy.
Update: The article appears to have originated in Israel, and we all know the vermin that have infiltrated Israel.
If this plane was shot downe in the US, with more than 100 muzzlims killed, the outrage would have been unbelievable. But being afraid of Teheran and Moscow nothing will happen in this case. FUCK TRUMP!!!

Anyone who believes that line about “technical problems” is stupider than what I flush down Thomas Crapper’s invention. When video shows a missile hitting the aircraft with the ball of flame when it detonated, the discussion must become whether it was an “accident” or intentional. My money goes on the latter just because the crazies in that corner of the world would shoot it down just because it was of American manufacture. You can also be somewhat sure that if it had paint of an Iran airline but the same passenger complement, they all would be safely at their destinations now. The crazies would know the flight schedules and know which not to shoot in the dark by time.
