Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, believes that the West should give up the illusion that Russia will continue to exist in its current form.

Source: Danilov in an interview with Bild, a German media outlet
Quote: “Russia will be fragmented, and the world must prepare for this.”
Details: According to him, the West should abandon the illusion that Russia will remain in its current form. The Kremlin “cannot control such a large territory, it does not have the ability to do so,” Danilov said.
Danilov has said that the Wagner Group’s mutiny has shown that “Russia is not a state”. “The West must understand that Russia is fragmented and there is no force that can hold it together,” he added.
Danilov has said that during the Wagner mercenaries’ rebellion, Ukraine analysed how the Russian regions had dealt with it.
Quote: “We have an analysis of how the regions reacted during Prigozhin’s rebellion. I can say that based on these analyses, we are able to state what Russia will look like after the collapse… Tatarstan will be separate, Dagestan will be a separate country that has nothing to do with Russia. These are colonies of the Russian Federation.”

“Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, believes that the West should give up the illusion that Russia will continue to exist in its current form.”
Wishing for mafia land to exist in its present form is like wishing Nazi Germany to have survived.
I would prefer that russia didn’t survive in any form. It has to be dismantled like the previous nazi regime.
The most important thing is to enforce any condition in a future peace agreement with Russia.
I think WWII was caused by the West not enforcing Versailles and believing that is was too harsh on Germany.
If the West would have bombed the shit out of Germany when Hitler increased the size of the army, missed payments and put soldiers in the West of Germany, no such thing would have ever happened.
We can all blame Hitler or Putin, but there will always be guys like them. Almost every country has one: the Netherlands has Thierry Baudet, France has Marine Le Pen and the list goes on.
A world war doesn’t start because of a Hitler, but it starts when good men do nothing.
As long as institutions and other countries can keep Hitler’s at bay, the world will be fine.
Therefore, it is of utmost importance that Russia will be denuclearized and have its military removed from the West, so intervention will not be too costly.
I am very much afraid we will make the same mistake again and again.
Appeasement is the opposite of peace, even though the word sounds similar.
