On Friday, February 14, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the situation at the front, reported an improvement in the position of Ukraine’s Defense Forces on the Pokrovsk front.
He made this statement during a briefing with journalists at the Munich Security Conference.
“I consider this a positive, because we also talk about this with our American colleagues and President Trump, about the situation on the front. I think it’s important to hear that recently the situation on the Pokrovsk front is better,” the president noted.
He declined to provide further details but mentioned that Ukrainian soldiers in this area feel significantly more confident.
“We are more confident there than before,” Zelenskyy concluded.
- On February 12, co-founder and analyst of the DeepState project Ruslan Mykula noted that on some sections of the front, including the Pokrovsk area, Russia is losing initiative.
- Executive Director of the Ukrainian Security and Cooperation Center, Dmytro Zhmailo, shared that Russian troops are trying to finally cut off the Pokrovsk–Kostiantynivka route.
