Went to the Caspian Sea: the SSO revealed the details of the defeat of the “Kalibriv” carrier

Ukrainian special forces destroyed a modern Russian ship with Kalibr missiles.

Ukrainian special operations forces have revealed details of the operation to destroy a Russian Grad small missile ship in Karelia .

As noted in the press service of the SSO , the operation took place at 04:31 on October 4 in Lake Onega. Special forces struck a small missile ship of project 21631 “Buyan-M” (ship number 575) as it was heading from the Baltic to the Caspian Sea.

The impact occurred on the starboard side of the propulsion compartment, causing serious damage to the vessel. Additional details are currently being determined.

“Grad” is one of Russia’s newest ships. It was commissioned into the Baltic Fleet on December 29, 2022. The ship’s main armament is the Kalibr-NK missile system, which is used to strike Ukraine.Read also:

As UNIAN reported, on the night of October 4, the Defense Forces struck a number of important facilities of the aggressor country, in particular, one of the largest Russian oil refineries and a missile ship were damaged.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine only reported on the fact of the ship being damaged, but did not provide additional information.
