The Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine urged Ukrainians to remain calm and support the military.

Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny assured the Ukrainians that the Armed Forces would give a fitting rebuff to the invaders if they dared to invade.

This is stated in a joint statement by Reznikov and Zaluzhny on the website of the Ministry of Defense. 

“The army and volunteers were able to withstand in 2014, when the “brother” brazenly plunged a knife into the back. At that time, many were psychologically not ready to resist the one with whom they sat at the same table yesterday. Now the situation is completely different. The Kremlin knows this for sure, and this an important element of deterrence… Everyone who has ever looked into the eyes of our soldiers is sure that there will be no repetition of 2014, the aggressor will not take Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, or any other city. will give Ukrainian lands!” Reznikov said.

According to Reznikov, now Ukraine has unprecedented support from international partners, in particular, this concerns the supply of weapons, which has increased the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to repulse the aggressor. He said that about 2,000 tons of modern weapons, ammunition and armor protection equipment had been received from different countries. The minister clarified that the military has already been trained and is ready to use this entire arsenal of means to protect the country.

In turn, Zaluzhny recalled that the army has 420 thousand Ukrainian soldiers who looked into the eyes of death, they are all experts in their field and patriots, and are ready to defend their native land.

“We are constantly improving our defense capabilities, coherence of units and military skills. We created battle formations and managed to quickly deploy the Terrorist Defense Forces and armed them with ATGMs and MANPADS, we are training instructors – operators of the Korsar and Stugna-P ATGMs for training “We have strengthened the defense of Kiev. We went through the war and proper training. Therefore, we are ready to meet the enemies and not with flowers, but with Stingers, Javelins and NLAW. Welcome to hell!”

The commander-in-chief also noted that absolutely all possible scenarios for the development of events in the army are being calculated and are ready for them. The Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief urged Ukrainians to remain calm and support their army.
