A statement from DW Phillips of Ukraine Story

“Recently, Matt Wash explicitly proposed firing missiles on the nation of Ukraine in an act of war to force regime change.

“…we should bomb Ukraine until Zelensky is removed from power.”

His advocacy for bombing Ukraine under the guise of protecting American oil interests through Russian production, casts him as an advocate of war crimes, a proponent for the violation of present United States law, and an enemy of America’s historic commitment to liberty and justice for all.

In the United States, political speech is protected under the First Amendment. Walsh has the legal right to his viewpoint, but he has no inalienable right to advocate for warcrimes on a podcast platform hosted by The Daily Wire or any other entity.

In the same way that The Daily Wire drew a line in the sand when confronted with the aggressive antisemitism of their former employee Candace Owens, Walsh’s heinous advocacy for unlawful acts of aggression against a sovereign state and ally to the United States — barbaric acts which would inescapably result in casualties for innocent civilians — place him outside the pale of rational commentary and unfit to represent a news platform that claims to defend liberty.”
