We need to stop repeating the narrative that Ukraine is resilient

As a foreigner living in Kyiv, I feel I need to say something uncomfortable. We need to stop repeating the narrative that Ukraine is resilient,” writes Elsa Court, audience development manager at the Kyiv Independent, in this op-ed.

“Ukrainians shouldn’t have to be resilient. If Ukraine’s partners were to give the kind of support Kyiv continually begged for, civilians would not have to be suffering.”

  1. And amidst all this terible horror, the United States has nothung better to do than to cut virtually all aid for the victim, pressure the victim to an injust “peace” deal, pressure the victim to break its own law by forcing an election during martial law, treat the victim’s leader like a criminal in the Oval Office … and, drumroll, give the red carpet treatment to the despicable war criminal.
People who support the pants-shitting gangster who is responsible for all these deplorable injustices are every bit as depraved and morally bankrupt.
Let’s not forget Europe’s nonstop slowness, greed, and cowardice.
