The production of electronics and components for missiles, drones, and secure communications equipment is gaining momentum in the Kyiv region . In particular, they have quickly mastered the production of control units and other important components for Ukrainian weapons.
80% of production is used for Ukraine’s defense needs, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
What is known
The President spoke about a visit to an enterprise in the capital region that works for the Ukrainian defense.
“Today in the Kyiv region, at an enterprise where Ukrainian weapons are made smart. I met with a team that manufactures electronics and sensitive components for our missiles, drones, and secure communications equipment. They very quickly mastered the production of control units and other important components here. More than 80% of production works for our defense,” the head of state emphasized.
In turn, the President’s Advisor on Strategic Issues Oleksandr Kamyshin and Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Gvozdiar reported to Zelensky that more and more weapons and equipment are now being assembled from Ukrainian components.
In particular, in order to reduce dependence on imports and expand local production, the “Components Library” project was created. It is a secure digital platform on which drone companies can easily find component manufacturers and establish partnerships.
Zelensky also addressed the company’s staff with words of gratitude.
“Thank you to the entire team for your work, which is yielding results for our defense. You are strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, and this is important,” the president emphasized.

Earlier, Zelensky announced an updated plan for the year regarding drones . According to the president, Ukraine has updated plans for the production and purchase of drones. Detailed information on financing needs is already being provided to partners.
