“We have already used various weapons”: Zelensky commented on the information about the lifting of restrictions on the use of Western long-range missiles

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has responded to Western media reports that restrictions on Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles provided by Western partners to strike deep into Russian territory have been lifted. He denied using American weapons for such purposes.

Zelenskyy stated this at a press conference following the European Union leaders’ summit in Brussels. In particular, the president assured that Ukraine has never used US weapons to strike Russia.

“I don’t know who writes what. We have never used American weapons for long-range purposes on the territory of Russia. We have used various weapons with good capabilities, but this was strictly in the territory of combat operations or in preparation for combat missions,” the president noted.

Zelensky added that Ukraine has its own long-range weapons that can strike at a distance of 150 to 3,000 kilometers deep into the rear of the aggressor country.

“We have a clear use of long-range Ukrainian-made weapons, and we are using Ukrainian-made weapons with ranges from 150 to 3,000 kilometers. These are our most advanced capabilities. And the question is how to get funding for mass production of these long-range capabilities that we have,” the president said.

Where did the information about the lifting of the restriction come from?

On October 22, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing its own sources, that the administration of United States President Donald Trump has lifted restrictions on Ukraine’s use of some long-range missiles provided by Western allies to strike targets in Russia.

In addition, the WSJ noted that the decision to lift restrictions on long-range strikes on Russia with Western weapons was lifted after the authority to approve such strikes was transferred from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to the commander of US forces in Europe, General Alexus Hrinkiewicz, who also heads NATO Command.

Subsequently, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, denied this information, calling the WSJ article fake news.

As OBOZ.UA reported, Trump previously made a statement regarding the possible supply of long-range weapons to Ukraine. He complained that the United States “cannot transfer all the weapons available to Ukraine.” According to him, he has always had a good relationship with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukraine in general. However, the American leader “is not ready to risk US interests.”

  1. Even after almost four years of war, the West is still spineless, especially Washington. We’ve had three cowards in a row sitting in the White House; Obama, Biden, and twice Taco, the orange bandit.

Thank goodness, Ukraine has its own long-range fire.

  2. Trump wants to be a king but keeps fucking his reputation by bending over for Putin. I hope our Congress will finally kick his ass. A true American leader must show Imperial superiority and make clear that the United States is no longer willing to tolerate Putin’s criminal bullshit!
