We had an educational conversation with the Russians, but massive shelling is still possible, – Zelensky

The President urged Ukrainians not to ignore the air alerts tonight.

Western partners have held talks with the Russians regarding the massive shelling of Kyiv , which the Kremlin is likely planning to carry out next night. However, one should not hope that this will deter the aggressor. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening video address .

“Dear Ukrainians, it is important to be attentive to any threat, to air raid signals, even today. Intelligence information about the possibility of a mass strike remains relevant. We know that our partners have spoken with the Russians about this. There is no faith that anyone in Moscow will change their mind,” the president said.

Zelenskyy stressed that all components of the Defense Forces are ready to counter possible shelling.

“The percentage of shooting down martyrs by our soldiers is consistently above 90, it is 90-93 percent. We are working with all partners on cruise missiles and ballistics to ensure new contributions to the PURL program. We are looking for other ways to obtain missiles. I thank everyone who helps,” the head of state added.
