“We are no longer afraid of anything”: Zelenskyy responded to Iran’s threats and confirmed a meeting with Netanyahu.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainians are not afraid of Iran’s threats against Ukraine. The head of state answered questions from foreign journalists and commented on Tehran’s statements about possible strikes due to alleged support for Israel.

The president made the statement while speaking to foreign journalists. A video of his response was shared in the media and on social media.

Zelensky stressed that Ukrainians have already survived many trials and are not succumbing to pressure or intimidation. According to him, the country continues to act based on its interests and security.

Zelensky briefly commented on the situation and said: ” We are not afraid of anything .”

Response to threats

During the conversation, journalists asked the president about Iran’s statements regarding possible actions against Ukraine. Tehran had previously accused Kyiv of allegedly supporting Israel amid the escalation in the Middle East.

In response, Zelenskyy stated that the threats do not affect Ukraine’s position. He emphasized that Ukrainians have become accustomed to difficult challenges during the years of war.

The President also commented on possible contacts with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to him, the parties have topics for discussion, but there has been no direct conversation yet.

“I have what he needs, and he has what I need. But we haven’t communicated yet,” Zelensky said, answering a question about possible negotiations.

What is known about the negotiations?

Earlier, information appeared that the Israeli side sent a request to Ukraine to hold talks between the heads of state. The point is a possible discussion of cooperation in the field of countering Iranian drones.

In particular, the parties could consider exchanging experience in intercepting drones. Israel has significant experience in countering such threats, and Ukraine regularly faces drone attacks during the war with Russia.

Following reports of possible contacts between Kyiv and Tel Aviv, the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a harsh statement, threatening consequences if it supports Israel.

“Ukraine may become an accomplice in the aggression of the US and Israel. We will never forgive this,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that fears are growing in Kyiv that the conflict in the Middle East will distract Washington from the full-scale war unleashed by the Russian Federation.  Now the Americans are “definitely more focused” on the operation in Iran. The head of state did not rule out that due to the new war, our country will receive less military support from the United States.

  1. What is there to be afraid of when a people have been fighting off the most evil horde of creatures on this planet for over four years?

    • Ukraine had the world’s largest Jewish population and was the world’s leading Jewish country until the ruZZian nazis started their pogroms and the German nazis started their Holocaust.
Jews escaping the pogroms and the Holocaust ended up in America, where they helped to make it the world’s richest state in history.
The modern Jewish state owes a great debt to Ukraine because it allowed the Jews to thrive. It was not Ukraine’s fault that such terrible things happened. They were caused by ruZZian and German invaders.
Which reminds me : Germany, now a democracy thanks to the WW2 allies, also owes Ukraine a great debt. It murdered 10 million Ukrainians, including Jews, Gypsies, disabled, LGBT etc, in WW2. Surely they owe reparations? Why can’t they send their army again to Ukraine? This time to do good instead of evil?
Furthermore, the Ukrainians elected a Jewish leader, the only one in the world outside Israel. As far as I can remember, the only other country to elect a Jewish leader was Britain, when it elected Benjamin Disraeli back in the 19th century.
However, the Jewish state hardly lifts a finger to help Ukraine. (I read somewhere that they sent a Patriot battery last year, but I’m not sure if it’s true).
Why is Israel happy to collude with Krasnov’s fascist regime in bombing piss-ass izlamonazis, but won’t help Ukraine get rid of the controller of said izlamonazis, who makes the Khamenei dynasty look almost normal?
