The Ministry of Defense is launching the “Logistics Lockdown” program to scale up middle strike (strike drones that operate on targets at a distance of 30 to 200 km) and systematically destroy russian capabilities at operational depth.

Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

“We are launching a “logistic lockdown” of the russian army and scaling up middle strike strikes on the enemy’s rear… Our task is to further increase the pressure on the russians in the rear and deprive them of the opportunity to conduct active assault operations,” he said.

According to Fedorov, recently Ukraine has been gradually seizing the initiative at the front, the price of advancement for the russians is constantly growing: if in October the enemy lost 67 soldiers per 1 sq. km of advancement, then in April – already 179.

“Russia is suffering record losses: more than 35,000 killed or seriously wounded soldiers every month – and we continue to increase the pace. In recent months, we have quadrupled the destruction of enemy logistics, warehouses, equipment, command posts and supply routes at operational depth. A pattern is already noticeable in the dashboards: the more russian logistics is destroyed – the fewer assault actions take place at the battle line,” the minister noted.

He reported that within the first stage of the program, the Ministry of Defense, together with the General Staff, allocated an additional UAH 5 billion directly for the military to purchase modern middle strike means, the funds will be received by the most effective brigades and units under the “eBal” system – teams that specialize in destroying the enemy at operational depth and demonstrate the best results in this area.

Fedorov added that the first units have already received funds, and direct purchases have already begun.

In parallel, within the framework of the second stage of the program, tenders are being launched centrally for the purchase of a large batch of middle strike weapons.

“Already in the summer, the results of centralized middle strike purchases will become noticeable at the front. The enemy will no longer feel safe even at a great distance from the line of combat operations,” Fedorov noted.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, earlier in May, Fedorov reported that the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense contracted a record batch of long-range artillery rounds of 155 mm caliber for supply to the Defense Forces.
