The authorities are currently resolving the difficult situation that has arisen in the Odessa region due to Russian strikes . And the military leadership is dealing with those responsible for the region’s air defense.
As an UNIAN correspondent reports, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a joint briefing with Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro. He stressed that the Odessa region is currently experiencing “a tough situation due to Russian attacks on port infrastructure, logistics, and energy.”
“Russia is again trying to limit the sea for Ukraine, to block the coastal regions. We will counteract this,” the head of state promised.
He noted that several meetings have already been held by telephone and online to resolve the situation in the region.
“The commander was tasked with very quickly adopting temporary infrastructure solutions so that people have all the opportunities, at least all the necessities, from food and medicine to fuel,” the head of state said.Read also:
He also mentioned pontoon bridges, but declined to talk about the number and when they would be built.
“My deputy for regional policy, Mykyta (Viktor Mykyta – Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine – UNIAN), is reporting and helping on the spot. Vice Prime Minister Kuleba, who is also responsible for this area, should be on site. And local authorities,” Zelenskyy said.
He assured that “everyone is doing their job.” “We are also dealing with the people responsible for the air defense of the Odessa region. But here, leave this dialogue between me and the commander-in-chief to us,” he said.
