Thank You for Standing With Ukraine https://ukrainesupport…
BREAKING NEWS: The United States has approved a possible $2.1 BILLION sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 MSE interceptor missiles to Ukraine! After weeks of frustration over Washington’s handling of military assistance, this is genuinely welcome news. But there is one critical distinction we cannot ignore: APPROVAL IS NOT DELIVERY. These missiles are desperately needed to defend Ukrainian lives and infrastructure against Russia’s relentless attacks, and the question now is how quickly they can actually reach Ukraine.
The funding is another important part of this story. Canada, Germany, Norway, and European Union-backed financing will cover the purchase—not U.S. funds. I explain exactly what has been approved, why the PAC-3’s hit-to-kill technology matters against Russian ballistic missiles, and how these interceptors differ from the older PAC-2. I also raise an urgent possibility: Could European partners transfer missiles from existing inventories now and receive replacements later?
And why is Washington making this decision now? I examine Zelenskyy’s recent conversation with Marco Rubio, Russia’s continued attacks on Ukrainian civilians and infrastructure, Ukraine’s renewed strikes against Russian oil facilities, and the possibility that political calculations inside the Trump administration are influencing events. These are questions worth examining, not established explanations for the decision.
I have been extremely critical of Washington when it fails Ukraine, and I will be equally outspoken when it makes a positive decision. This approval deserves recognition. But Putin is not waiting, Russian missiles are not waiting, and Ukrainian civilians cannot afford to wait. The real test is what happens after today’s announcement.
