Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has outlined what Donald Trump’s “peace plan” might look like if he wins the presidential election. It involves increasing military aid to Ukraine and its membership in the EU and NATO.

Details: Pompeo said there is “no evidence” that Trump, if elected president, would push Ukraine towards capitulation. Instead, due to the “Biden administration’s weakness,” Ukraine finds itself with “cities destroyed, hundreds of thousands killed, and millions of refugees, and without the means to win”.
Pompeo believes that a “successful plan” for Ukraine from a future Trump administration might include the following points:
- Unleash America’s energy potential, restore ties with Saudi Arabia and Israel, and work together against Iran.
- Implement real sanctions against Russia, including the removal of exemptions for Russian banks involved in energy extraction – a crucial revenue source for the Kremlin’s military machine.
- Expand the American defence industry and require NATO allies to spend at least 3% of their GDP on defence.
- Establish a US$500 billion “lend-lease” programme for Ukraine, which involves providing military aid on a loan basis rather than as a grant.
- Remove all restrictions on the types of weapons Ukraine can receive and use.
Quote: “These steps would position Mr. Trump to set the terms of a deal: The war stops immediately. Ukraine builds up substantial defence forces so Russia never attacks again. No one recognizes Russia’s occupation and claimed annexation of any Ukrainian territories,” Pompeo said.
Additionally, within this “peace plan,” Crimea would undergo demilitarisation (the author does not specify whether this means Russia would end its occupation). Ukraine would be rebuilt using frozen Russian assets and would join NATO and the EU as soon as possible. The Alliance would also create a US$100 billion fund to arm Kyiv, with the US contributing 20% of the total.
Quote: “If Russia complies with these terms, the West will gradually lift sanctions. They will be fully removed once Ukraine is in both NATO and the EU. These steps, and not the half-measures of the Biden administration, will end the war, establish a lasting peace, ensure Europe bears the burden of maintaining it, and re-establish freedom and security on the Continent,” Pompeo said.
Background:
- Trump himself has previously claimed that he wants to end the war in Ukraine “within 24 hours” and before he assumes the US presidency, but he has never detailed his “peace plan”.
- Last week, after a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he reiterated his desire to “bring peace to the world” by bringing Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table.

I’ll believe anything Pompeo says if I hear it from the orange one’s mouth himself, and I’ll take a grain of salt with it. Trump has spoken too much negative about Ukraine, too many times, and his VP is ten pounds of shit in a five-pound bag.

It all sounds good on paper, but Trump has never revealed how he would end this war, and I doubt he has a plan ready. His so-called “Deal of the Century” regarding Israel took two years, and didn’t exactly go to plan.

In that comment elsewhere, Pompeo referred to “Mr. Biden”, which I think was an intentional ‘dis’. Biden is currently President; Pompeo currently holds no office. And in that other comment, I did mention “Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo”, since that was his title at the time.

His comment suggested – falsely – that a report released by U.S. intelligence agencies in January had ruled out any impact. But the report reached no conclusions about whether that interference had altered the outcome – an issue that U.S. intelligence officials made clear was considered beyond the scope of their inquiry.
But we don’t want the war to stop immediately, Mike. We want it to stop after we’ve driven the Moscovians back to where they came from and killed as many as possible in the process. If this genocide did not cause incredible death and destruction every day, we could laugh at these ridiculous statements. Obviously, these hypothetical assertions, which contradict everything the Trump camp has put in place for 2 years, are not based on any official declaration.
Anyway, let’s remember:
– Trump and his legislative terrorists blocked all credits to Ukraine, which put it permanently behind in this war until the November elections.
– Trump and his team said they would not give another cent to Ukraine. Who can believe that Ukraine can get 500 billion which will depend on the president’s decision alone (lend-lease) and for the condition “in kind or property, or any other direct or indirect benefit which the President deems satisfactory.” (Ukraine will never be able to reimburse/compensate such an amount)? It’s absurd! Trump is lying to MAGA voters and Ukraine.
– No peace can be valid without the long-term security of a third state equipped with nuclear deterrence. Trump and his team have no solution here. Nada!
– Sanctions. Trump recently reiterated that he was against the sanctions system. Pompeocryte!
– NATO. Trump is fundamentally against the power that NATO represents. look at all these comments on the subject. He openly questions its usefulness, beyond the arrangements that each member must take (financing). I remain convinced that he will paralyze the organization. Its foreign policy is to speak with everyone on an equal footing, even with terrorist regimes and beyond the alliances formed between countries respectful of international law. Ukraine in NATO? It won’t happen for years and years!
– Frozen asset. Banks are clear today that they will do everything to majorly prevent the complete use of frozen funds (not interest) for the benefit of Ukraine and will avoid a precedent (as far as they are concerned). Nothing tells us that this will be possible in the future. In most cases, only interest is taken into account today. Moreover, the EU owns the vast majority of funds.
Don’t trust DT for Ukraine! This guy says today that he is a believing Christian, pro-Ukraine…!? We’re going to stop with this bastard. He’s just lying. Electing him to save Ukraine would be a terrible mistake. For the rest it concerns the States.
