The Hungarian Prime Minister recalled that the Kremlin put forward security requirements, which were transferred to the United States and NATO members. It was about Ukraine never becoming a member of the Alliance.
Russia’s demands were rejected and, according to Orban, this refusal was the reason for the invasion of Ukraine.
Orban also noted that the war would not have come if Donald Trump had been President of the United States and Angela Merkel had been Chancellor of Germany during these decisive months.
Orban stressed that Europe failed its chance as a mediator between Ukraine and Russia, when France and Germany were participants in the Minsk format, but could not ensure the implementation of these agreements. He is sure that this is why Russia is ready for negotiations not with the Europeans, but with the United States.

No matter who is on the other side of the table from the chief Orc, negotiations do not take place without a complete exit of Russian forces from all the territory of Ukraine. That includes Crimea and the Donbas and no more Russian bases.

I doubt his offer of allowing weapons into Ukraine, through the Hungarian border will be taken up, he’s shown which side he supports.
I highly suspect that any info about weapons going through Hungary to Ukraine would be promptly reported to Orban’s little master in the Kremlin. I hope that Ukraine takes this possible scenario into consideration.
