The fact of death was confirmed by the company itself, but the reasons were not given.

During yesterday’s drone attack on the Lukoil oil refinery in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, Vitaly Robertus, vice president of the company, was probably killed.

On the afternoon of March 13, the press service of the Lukoil company announced the “sudden death” of Robertus at the age of 54. The causes of death are not stated.

The Ukrainian publication LIGA.net, citing its own source in the Ukrainian special service, reports that Robertus could have died during yesterday’s drone attack on the Nizhny Novgorod oil refinery. However, this information has not yet been confirmed and is currently being verified.

This is the fifth sudden death of top managers and people closely associated with Lukoil since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. As the Sota project writes, in May 2022, 43-year-old top manager Alexander Subbotin died during a “shamanic ritual”; on September 1, 67-year-old head of the board of directors Ravil Maganov “fell out of the window” of the hospital; on October 24, he died of heart problems The 66-year-old successor to the post was Vladimir Nekrasov, and on November 30, 2023, the 61-year-old deputy from the Nizhny Novgorod region, Vladimir Lebedev, closely associated with the Lukoil company, died of a heart attack.

  1. I wish we could take credit BUT after reading the following sentence in the article, maybe it wasn’t our drones but a suicide with a bullet behind his head
