Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba is convinced that Ukraine’s accession to NATO is possible even with temporarily occupied territories.
“Yes. Ukraine’s accession to NATO is possible even with temporarily occupied territories,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter, answering his followers’ questions.
As reported, earlier this year Ukraine formally applied for membership in NATO’s Enhanced Opportunities Partner program which is an instrument for deepening the Alliance’s bilateral cooperation with third countries.

If so, they would already be a member. Montenegro or Romania do not comply to NATO standards by any means, but still they are there.
