Russian “Uralchem Azot” plant in Berezniki, Perm Krai, was hit — around 1,600km from the frontline, one of the longest-range strikes so far. It’s among Russia’s biggest fertilizer producers, making ammonia, urea and ammonium nitrate.

These chemicals also serve in explosives production, which makes the plant vital both for the military sector. In 2024 it reached record output of over 2.3 million tonnes.
