As a result of the Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of July 10, the Vatican Embassy in Kyiv suffered minor damage.

This was announced by the Ambassador of the Holy See, Visvaldas Kulbokas, reports Censor.NET  with reference to  Vatican News .

According to him, during the massive Russian attack on Kyiv, the premises of the Apostolic Nunciature were damaged.

“What is alarming is that it is clear that drones are targeting civilian neighborhoods. Because I also saw with my own eyes, I heard that some drones were flying directly around, around the nunciature, around houses,” the nuncio said.

Kulbokas said that diplomats from the Holy See personally heard explosions near the embassy and saw damaged civilian buildings a few dozen meters away.

“Our premises also suffered some damage: the roof of the main building was damaged, and the garage and office building were also damaged. We picked up about ten fairly large fragments, and I think it was a drone because they look like fragments of a drone, not a missile,” he said.

The Vatican added that no employees were injured in the Russian attack on the capital.

Let us remind you that on the night of July 10, the Russian invaders launched a combined massive strike on Kyiv with drones and ballistic missiles. There are dead and wounded.

As a result of the nightly massive attack on Kyiv, the premises of Channel 5  and the Kyiv Customs building were damaged .
