The United States will one way or another stop the Nord Stream 2 if Russia attacks Ukraine, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said on Thursday.
“If Russia invades Ukraine, one way or another, Nord Stream 2 will not move forward,” she said a briefing in Washington.
Answering the question why the United States is so confident in this, Nuland said that it is based on Washington’s consultations with Berlin.

Yeah. Just like the sanctions the US and Germany were going to place on Russia if it used gas as a weapon. Whatever happened to those?
If you want to de-escalate the situation, surround Kaliningrad, place a NATO fleet outside of Putler’s port in Syria, then flood the Black Sea with ships. Then take if from there.
Journalists asked about that and I guess the new PM said they were going to abide by the Merkel/Biden agreement if the Moscow Misfits use gas as a weapon. I guess now that includes an invasion. More than likely there will be a delay in my opinion with red tape but I would bet it will be eventually approved. But who knows, maybe Trump will get reelected. He doesn’t like Germany very much. I would like to see a NATO requirement that you can’t vote if you’re not in good standing and part of being in good standing would be contributing your 2% of GDP. Screw the freeloaders.
