The Secretary of State added that the main goal of the United States is to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.
The United States will conduct a re-analysis of all aid that has been transferred to Ukraine in recent years. The American administration will deal with this issue in detail if any misappropriation is detected. This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the press service of the State Department reports .
“Obviously, all our aid will be analyzed,” he said.
Rubio noted that the United States has inspectors general, as well as a special inspector general on this issue. They will be the ones who will deal with the issue of spending on the aid provided.
“If we ever discover any misappropriation or manipulation, we will definitely take action,” he said.
The Secretary of State added that the main goal of the United States is to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. He emphasized that Washington has already provided Kyiv with emergency assistance, but the fighting must stop.
“There is no military solution to this war. It only ends with a negotiated settlement, and the sooner it ends, the fewer people will die, the less money will be spent, and the less destruction there will be,” Rubio said.
