Sullivan, who claims to be the US ambassador to the Russian Federation, also drew attention to the need for Russian Federation to abandon efforts to intervene in the American elections.

US Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan reminded Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that improvement of  relations between Washington and Moscow depends on how Russia implements the Minsk agreements.

This was announced by Sullivan during negotiations with the Russian Foreign Minister in Nagoya, Japan, on the sidelines of the meeting of G20 foreign ministers, State Department spokesman reports.

“Deputy Secretary of State Sullivan reiterated to Foreign Minister Lavrov that improving bilateral relations depends on Moscow’s commitment to the Minsk agreements and refusal to undermine our democratic processes,” spokesman said.

In addition, Deputy Secretary of State Sullivan and Foreign Minister Lavrov discussed a wide range of regional and bilateral issues, including such issues of international security as North Korea and Syria, as well as counter-terrorism cooperation and strategic security.

Currently, the US Senate is considering the candidacy of Sullivan for the post of US ambassador to Russia. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee has already called for the appointment of Sullivan. Now the Senate should vote on this issue.

  1. Every time the Kremlinals complain about US-Muskovia bilateral relations they should be reminded of their criminal actions which is the real reason for such relations and not listen to the spin, propaganda and projection which is the trade mark of the current KGB leadership in the Kremlin.

  2. Mafia land will not comply with Minsk II. Consequently, there will be no improvement in US-Ruskie relations.

  3. Putin has no interest in any settlement.
The best solution would be to make
Russia’s military engagement in Ukraine more costly and a settlement more attractive.

      • I would rather see the sanctions from hell.
All permanent members of the Security Council have special status due to their sacrifices in securing victory in WW 2. Presumably if this resolution went before the Security Council , it would be vetoed.
All permanent members would have to give up veto powers and that will surely never happen.
