The US Senate will demand an investigation into the actions of the Pentagon and its head, Pete Hegseth, due to disruptions in the Starlink satellite communications , in particular the Starshield limitations encountered by the Ukrainian military.

According to the senator, he himself will initiate an investigation into Hegseth and his entire team. Tillis does not expect the US Secretary of Defense to demonstrate transparency, so together with his colleagues he will appeal to the Inspector General of the Department of Defense to launch an audit and publish a report for Congress and the Americans.

“I do not expect Secretary of Defense Hegseth to demonstrate transparency, so we will be asking the Department of Defense Inspector General to launch an investigation and provide a report to Congress and the American people ,” Tillis stressed.

He said he is inclined to believe that the failure likely occurred at a more local level in the US Department of Defense’s Starshield systems, rather than in the Starlink or SpaceX systems.

Tillis stressed that the situation threatens the safety of Ukrainian civilians, as well as American diplomatic and security personnel.
