The Kremlin said it “welcomes and supports” the American “reformatting” of its approach to Russia.
The US and Europe are battling at the UN and the G7 over whether Russia should be blamed for its war against Ukraine , the Financial Times reports .
It is noted that the rapid change in US President Donald Trump’s position on the conflict threatens to destroy Western unity.

The Trump administration and the EU have proposed rival UN resolutions for a vote at the General Assembly on Monday. G7 diplomats spent the weekend squabbling over whether a joint statement to be issued by the G7 will mention Russia’s “aggression” against Ukraine.
Officials said the standoff could reach the U.N. Security Council, with the U.S. possibly siding with Russia and China against a Western European-backed show of support for Kyiv.
“If [we] look at the messages that come out of the United States, it is clear that Russian rhetoric is very much present there,” said the EU’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas, when asked whether she believed the Trump administration was acting in Russia’s interests.
It is noted that Trump’s desire for a quick end to the war, his launch of bilateral talks with Russia and his escalating war of words with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have destroyed three years of unanimous Western condemnation of Moscow’s February 2022 invasion.
To mark the third anniversary of the war, Ukraine and the EU have jointly drafted a UN resolution condemning Russia’s invasion, which is set to be put to a vote by the organisation’s 193 members.
The United States called for the resolution to be withdrawn, according to two officials briefed on the discussions. Instead, Washington offered its own text that equates Ukraine’s actions with Russia’s and laments the “tragic loss of life in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.” The publication’s source noted:
“This [American] formulation is obviously unacceptable to us. All of this is connected to each other and is part of a broader change in the US position.”
The Kremlin said it “welcomes and supports” the American “reformatting” of its approach to Russia.
“We do see that Washington is trying to find out what the initial cause of this conflict was, and we hope that this analysis will help efforts to resolve the conflict,” said Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for President Vladimir Putin.

The U.S. is descending into evil.
The UK and the EU must vote against the russian/US contrived resolution. Trump doesn’t give a fuck about Ukraine or Europe, so show him where we stand.
France and Britain must use their veto. FOR ONCE!
