In particular, Noem’s driver’s license and passport were stolen.

United States Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was robbed in downtown Washington on Sunday evening, April 20, while the official was having dinner at the Capital Burger restaurant.

This is reported by CNN , citing a law enforcement source. Secret Service agents, who provide security for the minister, have already reviewed surveillance footage. The footage shows an unknown white man wearing a medical mask stealing her bag and leaving the restaurant.

“The thief took Noem’s driver’s license, medications, apartment keys, passport, DHS pass, cosmetic bag, blank checks, and about $3,000 in cash,” the report says.

The US Secret Service is investigating. They are trying to track Noem’s use of financial instruments.

“Her entire family was in town, including her children and grandchildren – she used the withdrawn funds to treat her family to dinner, entertainment and Easter gifts,” a spokesperson for the US Department of Homeland Security said.
