Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen made it clear that neither Denmark nor Greenland requested the visit.

Senior US officials will visit Greenland this week. The visit comes amid US President Donald Trump’s statements about the annexation of the island .
According to The New York Times , the delegation will be led by Usha Vance, wife of Vice President J.D. Vance, and will also include White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Energy Secretary Chris Wright.
Waltz and Wright plan to visit Pitufik Spaceport, a U.S. military base in Greenland. The White House said they will receive briefings from U.S. military personnel there. They will then join Vance to visit historic sites and compete in the national dog sled race.
Brian Hughes, the White House National Security Council spokesman, said the US team “is confident that this visit provides an opportunity to build a partnership that respects Greenland’s self-determination and promotes economic cooperation.”
At the same time, Greenlandic Prime Minister Mute B. Egede reacted extremely sharply to the upcoming visit, stating that Greenlanders’ attempts to be diplomatic simply “rebound from Donald Trump and his administration in their mission to own and control Greenland.”
He was particularly enraged by Mike Waltz’s participation in the delegation.
“What is the national security adviser doing in Greenland? The only goal is to demonstrate power over us… His mere presence in Greenland will undoubtedly strengthen Americans’ faith in Trump’s mission, and the pressure will increase,” he said.
Other Greenlandic officials complained about the inappropriate timing of the visit, pointing out that Greenland had just held parliamentary elections and a new government had not even been formed.
“The fact that the Americans know full well that we are in the process of negotiations once again demonstrates disrespect for the Greenlandic people,” said Jens-Frederik Nielsen, leader of the most popular political party.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also made it clear that neither Denmark nor Greenland requested the visit.
“The visit from the United States cannot be viewed in isolation from the public statements that have been made… This is something we take seriously,” she stressed.

Annexation due soon.
If they plan on participating in that dog sled race, they’re going to get wiped the frack out.
