Oval Office dispute leads to “deterioration of relations between former allies.”

The US administration is considering cutting off all current military aid to Ukraine after failed talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, The Washington Post reported, citing a senior administration official.

It is noted that this decision, if adopted, “will concern radars, vehicles, ammunition and missiles worth billions of dollars that are awaiting shipment to Ukraine.”

The publication emphasizes that this means “a deterioration in relations between the former allies” after the dispute in the Oval Office.

The official also rejected the idea that the confrontation between US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance with Zelensky was pre-planned. He noted that efforts had been made to create a more positive tone in planning the meeting the day before, “as evidenced by Trump backtracking on his accusations that Zelensky is a dictator.”

  1. “as evidenced by Trump backtracking on his accusations that Zelensky is a dictator.”

Was there an apology from Trump? If so, I must have missed it. What he did say was “Did I say that? I can’t believe I said that. Next question,”

Is that the US version of backtracking? Deny you said anything in the first place.

    • Yes, but not nearly often enough, or at the massive level required in response to what this administration is doing to our Democratic Republic.
