The agreement includes spare parts, training and full technical support.
The US State Department has given the “green light” to the possible sale of the Patriot air defense system and related equipment to Ukraine with a total estimated cost of $179.1 million. This was reported by the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

The package includes:
- classified and unclassified spare parts;
- technical support and training;
- software and its updates;
- modification kits, test equipment, communications equipment and accessories;
- engineering and logistical assistance;
- Field Observation Program and International Engineering Services Program.
The State Department emphasized that this step will strengthen Ukraine’s ability to confront current and future threats, as well as provide it with a more powerful air defense system for self-defense missions and support for regional security.
“This potential sale supports U.S. foreign policy and national interests by strengthening the security of a partner country that contributes to political stability and economic development in Europe,” the statement said.
At the same time, the department emphasized that the sale will not reduce US defense capabilities.

“ “This potential sale supports U.S. foreign policy and national interests by strengthening the security of a partner country.”” Bullshit. “Potential” is the operative word. “strengthening” is another horse shit word used by the State Department.
