Navy ships crossed the strait from east to west towards the Persian Gulf

Several US Navy ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz , a US official told Axios .
This move was not coordinated with Iran and is the first time that American warships have crossed the strait since the start of the war.
Sources told the publication that the operation was aimed at increasing the confidence of commercial vessels in the safety of crossing the strait, and it also took place against the backdrop of the start of peace talks between the two sides in Pakistan.
“This was an operation aimed at ensuring freedom of navigation in international waters,” the US representative added.
He noted that the Navy ships crossed the strait from east to west towards the Persian Gulf, and then returned through the strait to the Arabian Sea.
State media reported that the Iranian government called the crossing a violation of the ceasefire and threatened to attack the ships.
At the same time, a US representative says that America has not received such a warning.
In turn, US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that the threat that the ship could “run into” sea mines was the only thing Iran could use to intimidate Americans from crossing the strait.
“We are now beginning the process of cleaning up the Strait of Hormuz as a service to countries around the world, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany and many others,” he added.

He should also be giving credit to our UK friends for sending their new minesweepers.
Tough! 🤣
Disgraceful.
