Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko reported that about 30 people were injured.

One person has died as a result of a Russian strike on passenger trains in Shostka, Sumy region , the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported on Facebook .

“The body of a deceased 71-year-old man was found in a carriage of one of the trains hit by an enemy drone at the railway station in the city of Shostka,” the report said.

The prosecutor’s office notes that the qualification of the criminal proceedings has been changed to Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – commission of war crimes that caused the death of a person.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko reported on Telegram that as a result of a double targeted strike on the railway station and passenger trains in Shostka, Sumy region, about 30 people were injured.

“The enemy continues the tactic of striking the railway – civilian infrastructure, a large concentration of people, which the enemy is well aware of. This was another cruel and cynical terrorist act. And the world has no right to ignore this,” she stressed.

Also, the head of the Sumy OVA, Vladyslav Hrygorov, reported that the city of Shostka and part of the district were without electricity due to enemy strikes.

Attack on the train station in Shostka

On the afternoon of October 4, the Russians launched a double attack on the railway station in the city of Shostka.

The first strike hit the locomotive of the Tereshchynsk-Novograd-Siverskyi suburban train.

When the evacuation of people began, the enemy attacked again, hitting the electric locomotive of the Kyiv-Shostka train

According to the prosecutor’s office, at least 8 people were injured. Among the injured in Shostka are a 44-year-old woman and her three sons, ages 14, 11, and 7.
