This is possible if the restriction measures are ignored, Deputy Minister Viktor Lyashko explained
If Ukrainians disobey preventive measures related to the Covid-19 lockdown, the eventual number of infected could make from 200,000 to 1,000,000. Viktor Lyashko, the Deputy Minister of Healthcare reported that at a briefing on March 24.
According to the official, there are various estimates regarding the spread of coonarivus on the territory of Ukraine. In turn, the government takes into account all estimates and introduces certain preventive measures.
“We can talk about a large number; we can talk 200,000 and millions of people who could get sick. But that will depend on how we live up to preventive measures”, he said.
At that, Lyashko added that the number of the sick will be considerably lower if the citizens live up to these measures – even smaller than the estimated one.
As of 13.30. March 24, Ukraine reported 97 lab-confirmed cases of the Chinese coronavirus. Three patients deceased, and one recovered.
As of March 24, over 380,000 Covid-19 cases are observed worldwide. 17,000 of those are lethal.

This type of scaremongering annoys me. This guy plucks some figures out of thin air, with no evidence behind his claim, but I expect nothing less from Russian media.
And it’s garbage. If 1 mio would be infected with the China pest, everybody would have it within less than a week.
