Currently, all of the company’s products are directed exclusively to the needs of Ukraine and are not exported.

Ukrainian defense company Fire Point produces about 100 long-range Flamingo cruise missiles and thousands of attack drones every month. Thanks to this, Ukraine can constantly strike military facilities far behind the Russian rear.

This was stated by the company’s CEO Iryna Terek in an interview with The Guardian . According to her, the company also produces FP-1 and FP-2 drones at a rate of “hundreds per day.” Mass production resumed after a delay related to the approval of a €90 billion loan to Ukraine from the European Union.

Terek claims that Fire Point weapons have been used in almost all of Ukraine’s long-range strikes in recent months. According to her, attacks using the company’s missiles and drones occur on average 5 to 15 times a day.

As the publication noted, the Flamingo missile is capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 1,150 kg. According to the company’s head, the maximum flight range of the missile reached about 1,800 km due to the complex trajectory. The cost of one missile is slightly less than $600,000, which is much cheaper than the American Tomahawk cruise missile.Read also:

Meanwhile, FP-1 drones with a flight range of over 1,600 km are used to strike less protected targets, including oil refineries in Russia. Their cost, according to Terek, ranges from $55,000 to $75,000.

Fire Point currently operates 83 production sites in Ukraine and has another plant in Denmark. The company employs about 6,000 people, compared to half that number at the end of last year.

What is the company currently developing?

In addition, the company is developing the first Ukrainian ballistic missiles. According to Terek, their testing may begin by the end of the year. Fire Point is also participating in the international Freya project, which involves creating a European alternative to the American Patriot air defense system. The Ukrainian company is to produce launchers and interceptor missiles.

Fire Point also emphasized that, despite development prospects, all of the company’s products are currently aimed exclusively at the needs of Ukraine and are not exported.
