The Russian invaders have been accumulating reserves for two months in a row, and now, 
with “large forces” on the approaches to Kupyansk, they are “increasing pressure” on the Lyman direction. But despite fairly active infantry assaults, the overall situation on the direction is “quite stable,” Ukrainian defenders believe.

On the approaches to Kupyansk, the enemy ” has not had any special successes.” And in general, the defense in the direction is “not bad,” said Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the Joint Forces Group.

“They were accumulating personnel, and, in fact, the potential for offensive actions. And from February to March, when the intensity was just reduced, they licked their wounds, bribed people and now threw them into battle,” the military man explained.

Important direction

In general, the direction is considered important for the enemy, because it ” opens the way to the Kramatorsk-Slovyansk agglomeration,” which ” is key in Russian plans,” noted Viktor Tregubov.

To put pressure on Kupyansk, the Russian invaders are using Golubivka (a settlement north of the city) – it is from there that the occupiers are trying to “infiltrate” into Kupyansk.

According to the military, the Russians are still trying to press “almost from three directions,” and today the Ukrainian defenders are ” having a little more difficulty than when Holubivka was more controlled.” This problem ” has been going on for several weeks.”

“Just like in the east – I mean the eastern bank of the Ostkil River. So the Russians are already actively trying to climb from almost three directions. Here we are aware of the problem, aware of how to fight it. The problem is simply that there are a lot of Russians,” the Ukrainian defender explained.

As OBOZ.UA reported, in Kupyansk, Ukrainian military forces destroyed a Russian stronghold without the participation of infantry, using exclusively robotic systems and drones. As a result of the operation, the occupiers were eliminated and the enemy’s ammunition depot was destroyed.
