The state of emergency is planned for 30 days.
The authorities of unrecognized Transnistria are preparing to declare an economic emergency due to the risk of cessation of Russian gas supplies to the region, which is associated with Ukraine’s reluctance to extend the transit contract from 2025. Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky signed a corresponding decree on December 9, which still needs to be approved by the legislature, reports the Moldovan publication Newsmaker .

The economic emergency regime is foreseen for 30 days.
The document provides, in particular, for the rational use of gas and other energy resources, a ban on the export of energy resources, and restrictions on certain types of financial and economic activities, including the movement of goods, financial funds, and the provision of services.
What is known about the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine?
The threat of stopping the supply of Russian gas to Transnistria is related to Ukraine’s reluctance to extend the contract for the transit of Russian gas to European countries from the new year 2025.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also hinted that there may be no transit of Russian gas through Ukraine in 2025 .
The Russian economy could suffer a devastating blow after the halt of gas transit through Ukraine to Europe. The monopolist Gazprom, as well as the Russian budget, could lose billions.
Former CEO of the Ukrainian Gas Transmission System Operator Serhiy Makogon noted in a comment to UNIAN that gas transit through Ukraine is a third of Gazprom’s total exports to the EU.

What is ‘Transnistria’? Is Moldova running out of gas? If so, why?
As long as a ruskie is present, there’s always plenty of gas … if you know what I mean.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin also hinted that there may be no transit of Russian gas through Ukraine in 2025 .”
Ukraine did more than hint. They have told the mafia state that no more gas crosses Ukraine territory. This decision is out of putlers hands, no matter how he tries to word it.
I wish that Transnistria would experience a real emergency, like an invasion by Ukraine.
Seems my critical comments concerning Zelensky, Trump, Turkey and the ‘rebels’ in Syria cost me upvotes. Thank you!!! I come here to share my views only! 😂
