Unforgivable stupidity and arrogance of Whitkoff

  1. I decided years ago to learn Russian from an academic friend of mine who spoke not only very good Russian, but also in the guttural Muskovy accent he picked up from living there.
It takes many hundreds of hours to achieve even the moderate level I reached.
In 2009, I attended a meeting at a well known university to discus the Georgian invasion that had recently occurred.
To my amazement, academic after academic spoke to justify putler’s appalling behaviour in Chechnya and Georgia. The Anglo-Russians in attendance were far more moderate than these British academics (a lot of them were actually Irsh or Scottish Nationalists), who then as now had all the same hobby-horses : Palestine (strongly in favour of Pali terror and strongly anti-Semitic), IRA (strong supporters), putler (would not allow a word against the bastard), etc etc.

God knows what it’s like in British academia now; a lot worse I expect.

I gradually began to hate speaking Russian, even though it was highly useful when I was visiting cities like Odesa and Mykolaiv. (Now those cities whose people spoke almost 100% Russian by choice, have now switched to Ukrainian).

My Russian fell away and now it is no better than my schoolboy French. I never want to speak it anymore unless I have to.

So I understand what the prof said about this.

Witless is one of those incomprehensible creatures : a pro-Russia Jew, no better than Solovyov. But of course Krasnov sought him out. You have to be putinoid scum if you want a top job in Kremlin West. That’s how Vance, Gabbard, RFK Jr, Hegseth, Musk, Patel etc got their jobs.

The Jews I admire are the real ones with integrity like Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Azman, Zel and Jonathan Fink. Solovyov/Witless types are happily very scarce in Judaism.

  2. Michael McFaul, a former U.S. ambassador to Russia, said, “This is deeply damaging incompetence. Witkoff should finally start taking a note taker from the U.S. embassy for future meetings. That’s how professional diplomacy works.”

Garry Kasparov, a Russian chess grandmaster and political activist wrote: “Like so most of Trump’s appointees, Witkoff’s only qualification is that Trump is sure he will put Trump’s personal interests and desires over American national interests without a second thought. Of course he’s incompetent.”

    • That’s how diplomacy should work, but not if you are putting personal interests before the interests of the country.
