The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) “derussified” Ukrainian borscht .

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova announced this on Twitter .

“Ukrainian borscht is de-Russified!” – wrote Dzhaparova.

She clarified that at an extraordinary meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, the Ukrainian element “Ukrainian Borsch Cooking Culture” was included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Protection.

According to Dzhaparova, for the first time in history, the nomination dossier was considered out of turn due to the military actions in Ukraine that are taking place in real time and a real threat to the cultural element.

Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko said that the “battle for borscht” began even before the war.

“And no matter how much Masha Zakharova said that “cooking books were forbidden, and the recipe was kept secret and forbidden to cook” and in general our borscht is “a manifestation of extremism and Nazism”, this “manifestation of extremism” is now officially Ukrainian, and officially under the protection of UNESCO. But we will be happy to share borscht and its recipes with all civilized countries, and with uncivilized ones too, so that they have at least something light, tasty and Ukrainian. But remember and be sure – as in the war for borscht so we will win this war,” he wrote on his Facebook page .

  1. Well here’s a nice win for us!!! Next let’s derussify everything Ukrainian including the bullshit history of Ukraine being spewed by the cockroaches and scum suckers.

    • Hahaha, borscht is officially Ukrainian. Ukraine has to work very hard to get something so obvious, official. Russians are incapable of originating anything constructive. Can anyone give me ONE example? Is there ONE thing Russians invented besides the face-slapping contests and getting awards for dying after drinking vodka?
